BY LEO MORENO — First, thanks to all who are visiting our website.
Please leave any comments if you feel like it. We are currently working toward an April Fools Day launch, or sooner, complete with multiple blogs, message boards, sign-ups, schedules and other goodies about Poker and The Loggers.
You might ask yourself: Self, why is this guy doing this? Well I can just say I LOVE POKER and this is for all those who LOVE POKER too! In the future I hope to carry clothing (or what I call LOGGERSWEAR). So if you’re interested in playing Poker, we here at LOGGERSPOKER have games all the time. If you can get at least 5 people together to play send me an email or text and I’ll make it happen!
The guy putting together the web site, Robert Rochon, wants me to tell ya’ all a bit about myself. Well, I was born in East LA (really was born in Santa Monica, CA but was raised in La Puente), I have three sisters two of whom still live in LA and the other in Sultan WA, helping take care of my Mother. My stepfather Ramon makes the best salsa and potato salad you have ever tasted -- available at the Loggers as a side or on Tuesdays served with our famous TACO TUESDAYS. Ok, back to me, Leo Moreno. I went on to the US Army when I turned 18, had fun learned how to drink and pick up on women (ok was fun and great discipline for all you young guys with no idea where you’re are going in life). After the army I returned to La Puente for a bit and started selling cars and taking bi-weekly trips to Vegas to play poker. Divorced, then married, moved to Seattle and sold cars again. My real father (Leo Sr.) had this bar with his now ex-wife Barb. In 2006 I had the opportunity to get out of the car business (thanks Anca) and buy a bar, so I did.
Two floods and lots of taxes later I decided my love for poker could wait no more. So we have what we call here a poker room at the LOGGERS. By the way the bar is over 120 years old, cool enough to just come check out but leave the kids at home. Please have ID’s as it’s 21 and over here. So as far as POKER goes we will have a game as long as you have at least 5 people, money, ID’s and the passion for the game.
So I think I have said enough for now if ya’ like my little blog, email me back, or simply come on down to the LOGGERS for some fun. Karaoke & DJ every Friday and Saturday night and other nights if there are enough people to make it worth my while to entertain you. And oh ya we do parties -- lots and lots of parties. Want to do POKER, and KARAOKE? I know you’ll have fun, I guarantee it!
Thanks,
Leo Moreno
President of LOGGERS Inn Corp. (sounds cool anyway) Have a good day!
